Once Id developed and idea I started to set it in motion. I created the big plastic medallion using a laser cutter.

Ministry of sound Research

For this project we are to design a poster for the ministry of sound.

To get a feel for what the going style was, I did some searching for posters and other artwork that I thought would work for this project.

I bought a graphic tablet a few years back, and I quite enjoy doing digital paintings, since regular painting is very messy and quite expensive, it means digitally i can just jump on and relax every now and then. Ill upload some every now and then. Heres one i did a while back of a girl smoking.

This is the logo I decided on after trying different styles, fonts and colour schemes.

I started sketching some ideas out for the logo. Since the name is a play on the name ‘Eton Mess’ I sketched some ideas based on the messy look of the dessert. At first I drew a circle that was seperated into random segments. I then made the bottom 2/3’s of the logo without the fractures, which gave a better result. Once I’d traced the logo into illustrator, I later deicded against the bulk of the idea and settled on the minimalistic approach and just left the strawberry.

I did quite abit of research on different logos within the food industry, just to see what styles were knocking about . Here are a few that caught my eye.
